Ovranette Tablets, a combination oral contraceptive pill, is effective up to 99% in preventing pregnancy if taken correctly. It contains two synthetic female hormones: ethinylestradiol, and levonorgestrel.
Ovranette Tablets, a combination oral contraceptive pill, is used to prevent pregnancy. Combination pills contain synthetic versions Oestrogen (progesterone) and Progesterone (progesterone). These are the two hormones found in Ovranette:
- 30 micrograms of ethinylestradiol
- 150 micrograms of levonorgestrel (progesterone).
Ovranette hormones are identical to those in other combined contraceptive medications like Microgynon, Levest and Rigevidon.
Ovranette is most commonly used by women to prevent pregnancy. However, it can also be used to treat heavy or painful periods.
