Aptamil 2 Follow On Milk Powder Formula - 6-12 Months - 800g.

Inspired by 50 years of breastmilk research, Aptamil has developed a next generation powder formulation. Aptamil 2 Follow On Milk Powder Formula - 6-12 Months contains vitamins A and C and a blend of galacto and fructo oligosaccharides to support your babys growth and development. This follow-on milk is tailored to complement a weaning diet from 6-12 months and contains vitamin D to support the normal function of the immune system.

How to use this product

Always take Aptamil 2 Follow On Milk Powder Formula - 6-12 Months exactly as described on the box. As powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill. Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions. Then boil 1 litre of freshly run water. Leave the kettle to cool for 30 minutes and no longer. Measure the required amount of water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.

Using the scoop provided, level off the powder with the built in leveller. Do not press/heap the powder. Add the correct measure of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful. Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake immediately, vertically and vigorously for at least 10 seconds, until the powder is dissolved. Cool under a running tap and check the temperature of the feed. Feed immediately.

How long does formula last?

Once youve made up your formula, you can use it within 24 hours as long as youve stored it in a fridge. If you store your formula in a cool bag with an ice pack, you should use it within 4 hours, and if you store it at room temperature, you should use it within 2 hours.

Aptamil 1 First Baby Milk Formula Powder from Birth contains a nutritionally complete formula, suitable from birth onwards if your baby is being combination or bottle-fed.

This formula is inspired by 50 years of research in early life science and combines Aptamils blend of ingredients with a unique process.

Is breastfeeding or formula feeding better?

Experts favour breastfeeding as you will pass on nutrients to your baby, giving them more protection against infections, allergies and certain conditions. However, breastfeeding isnt possible for everyone, and formula feeding is still a great, healthy alternative to give your baby the nutrients they need to grow and develop as they should.
