Alverine citrate is an antispasmodic medicine that relieves IBS symptoms. it works by relaxing muscle in your stomach and bowels to soothe cramps and spasms.
Take one or two tablets three times a day, either before or after meals. Symptom relief typically begins 1–2 hours after taking the dose.
We recommended that you take Alverine capsules only when necessary – start taking the capsules when your symptoms flare up, and stop taking them when symptoms subside.
Alverine citrate starts to work after 1–2 hours.
