Emselex Tablets contain darifenacin, a medicine used to treat the symptoms of an overactive bladder (OAB). It helps reduce the frequent urge to urinate, sudden need to rush to the toilet, and accidental leakage by relaxing the bladder muscles and improving bladder control.
Contains darifenacin, a selective muscarinic receptor antagonist
Helps relieve symptoms of overactive bladder, including urgency, frequency, and incontinence
Promotes better bladder control and reduces accidental leakage
Taken once daily, offering convenient long-lasting relief
Suitable for adults as prescribed by a healthcare professional
Emselex works by blocking specific receptors in the bladder wall responsible for involuntary contractions. This helps the bladder hold more urine and reduces the feeling of urgency. The result is fewer trips to the bathroom and less disruption to daily activities.
The tablets are available in different strengths, typically 7.5mg or 15mg, and should be taken once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablets whole with water — do not crush or chew them.
This is a prescription-only medicine (POM). Use only as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take Emselex if you have urinary retention, severe liver problems, or uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
Use with caution if you are taking other medicines for bladder or gut conditions.
Common side effects may include dry mouth, constipation, and blurred vision — if these persist, consult your doctor.
Store below 25°C and keep out of reach of children.
