Its advanced triple-layer construction supports a moist wound environment, which is essential for promoting faster healing while protecting the surrounding skin from maceration.

How to Use

Preparation: Cleanse the wound according to your healthcare professional's instructions.
Application: Apply the white (wound-contact) side directly onto the wound.
Fixation: As this is a non-adhesive dressing, it must be secured in place using a secondary dressing such as medical tape, a retention film, or a bandage.
Change Frequency: The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days. Change the dressing if exudate becomes visible through the outer film and approaches within 2cm of the edge.

Important Safety Information

Infection Monitoring: If you notice signs of clinical infection (increased redness, swelling, unusual odour, or heat), consult a healthcare professional immediately.
Incompatibility: Do not use with oxidising agents such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions, as these can damage the foam structure.
Clinical Assessment: This dressing is intended for use as part of a structured wound management plan under clinical supervision.
Burns: Suitable for first and second-degree burns. Not intended for use on third-degree burns.

Possible Side Effects

While ALLEVYN is generally very well tolerated, rare instances of skin irritation or redness around the wound edge may occur. This is often due to prolonged contact with wound fluid or sensitivity in very fragile skin. If irritation persists, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Construction & Storage

Composition: Polyurethane foam core with a breathable polyurethane top film. Contains no medicinal active ingredients.
Sterility: Sterile unless the pouch is opened or damaged. Do not resterilise.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight.
